it's a dreary day here in slc, and i'm soaking it up. i don't know what it is about gloomy days that speaks to me. maybe it's that i can't tell that daylight is running out on me. i love sunsets, but they always make me feel sad for the end of the day. on an overcast day, i feel like i have all the time in the world. also, i love the smell of wet weather.
photo tip: complexions look better overall in a diffused light. consequently, outdoor portraits on a cloudy day are everyone's best friend. added bonus: fog adds an ethereal air to your image.
